And I did it the smart and safe way, by following my
I can DO This! diet. This
weight loss adventure of mine started back
in December of 2006, back when I was 170+
pounds
(I was soooo fat, I couldn't bear to view
myself in the mirror and became a master at
avoiding any reflection of me, my double chins
and their relatives) (and yes, I did lie
on my diet journal's starting weight - I couldn't
bear to admit the truth....but when I realized something
rather precious about myself, I had no problem being
completely honest!).
Interestingly enough, I accomplished it all (including
massive amounts of exercise and karate and kendo swords practice)
even though, unbeknownst to me, I had two rather large bone tumors
sticking straight out from my leg bone, inhibiting my muscles from
moving normally. I'm pleased to announce I had those removed at the
end of November, and recovered almost indecently quickly.
Here's how I did it. I took my time and
meticulously researched everything weight-loss
and diet-related online. I spent hundreds
of hours (yes, you read that correctly, 100s!)
wading through the junk and miracle promises
and quick quackeries .... to find out what really
works. Everything that looked promising I tried
on myself first!
I'm pleased (okay, utterly ecstatic) to announce
that I was able to craft a perfect weight-loss plan
for myself....for free....that has resulted in a
45+ weight loss (and I'm still going strong!).
